Birth Stories Map

Below is a map of birth stories submitted by birthing persons, birth workers, and birth supporters. Each marker represents a different story and is pinned to the zipcode where it took place. To view a story, click on the pin at each location. The stories are color-coded by the satisfaction rating of the birth experience.

These stories highlight the diversity of birth experiences throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. As some of these stories contain very difficult or traumatic experiences, content warnings appear near the top of the story for those stories. Local hospitals are also pinned to the map as reference points.
